Stand at the head of the base and connect hands with the peace-finger grip | Connect hands with the peace-finger grip | Stand at the back of the flyer and spot the hips |
Present the shoulders to the base by bending forward and roll your back over. Place shoulders on the feet of the base. | Straighten legs and move towards the flyer (more than 90 degrees). Keep arms straight and give the flyer a platform. | Help the flyer up by catching the hips and pulling towards you |
Give weight into the feet and into the hands of the base. Bend elbows and keep them close to the body. | Bend knees to let the flyer come down. This is easier to get into the pose for the flyer (advanced: keep the legs straight). | Spot the hips and make sure flyer finds stability. |
Stand on your toes, bend legs slightly and jump up into a tuck position. | Wait until flyer finds stable position in tuck, then start to straighten the legs and lift the flyer up.
Optionally straddle the legs the find balance. Shift hips forward and keep a lot of weight in the hands (not rolling backwards). Keep elbows in a 90 degree angle. | Close the heels together (toes turn outside) and let flyer know to press back of the head against your shins to stabilize.
As soon as base has heels closed, press back of the head against the shins. | To get out of the pose, slightly bend the legs and let the flyer come down.
To get out of the pose, go back to tuck pose and bring feet back to the ground. Open the legs slightly to avoid getting too close to the bases head. |
