Prasarita Twist

Flyer Base Spotter
Start from Folded Leaf. Relax and make legs pull towards the ground, straddle and pike the legs. Start from Folded Leaf. Bring Flyer into position, by either directly going into it or from bird pose turning your toes outwards under Flyers hip bone’s slowly guiding flyers upper body down into hanging. This move requires dynamic spotting at Flyers hips and shoulders (one hand each) constantly moving around with the Flyer.
Bring your left arm diagonally over Base’s chest and grab your right leg in a controlled manner as close to your ankle as possible and as you can comfortably hold without having to let go. In order to turn Flyer anti clock wise: Support Flyer in bringing his/her left arm diagonally over your chest, reaching for his/her right leg. If necessary actively help base to keep balance in the center.
Bring your other arm up in the air and keep this twisted shape. Start bending your right leg and turning your Flyer as much as you can. Follow Flyers hips and have your arms under Flyers legs to catch and prevent a drop of the head towards the ground.
Once base has replaced the foot slowly open up your shape to come into “straddle bat” pose thereby moving your legs “not like a rainbow” but like a helicopter instead, parallel to the ground. Stay with your right leg bent and press up Flyers shoulders so that Flyer faces the sky and your arms (one hand on each shoulder) are straight.
Turn Flyer further and manage through bending your right leg and turning and straightening your arms to make your left foot free of weight.
Replace your right foot with your now free left foot, toes facing inwards, always replacing from above (as close to Flyers hip as possible).
Flyer starts to open and you catch your Flyer with your right foot on the other hip in “straddle bat” pose.
Get out of the pose either by going up to tic toc or through floating paschi.
